We're underway at San Mames.
Madrid have been imperious to start the campaign, not missing a beat even without Cristiano Ronaldo. Julen Lopetegui has enjoyed a strong start to his career at the Bernabeu even after the turmoil of his exit from the Spain job on the eve of the World Cup. Madrid have seen off Getafe, Girona and Leganes with ease, although this evening's match will be a tougher test.
Bilbao have been out of action since the second week of the campaign after their last match against Rayo Vallecano was postponed due to safety concerns at Vallecano's stadium. Eduardo Berizzo's men last played a competitive game on August 27th in their draw against Huesca. It would not be a surprise to see them out of rhythm this evening.
