Brady whips a low shot through four pairs of legs but Pickford is able to get it away. Vokes however picks Denayer's pocket, and his superb shot requires a fingertip effort to deflect.

74'
R. Brady enters the game and replaces G. Boyd.
D. Ndong enters the game and replaces D. Gibson.
It's Gibson who leaves for N'Dong as the home side make a change, whilst Boyd departs for the visitors to be replaced by Brady.
73'
Vokes can't control a pass and Denayer is able to get the ball out of danger for Sunderland. Didier N'Dong also about to enter the fray too, as he begins warming up on the side.
71'
Robbie Brady has shed his jumper on the touchline - another Burnley change incoming, perhaps? On the pitch, the action has become rather scrappy, as Ward is able to block Larsson from getting a good position for a cross.
69'
Vokes plays down the left to Arfield, who gets it onto Gray. He turns Jones the wrong way, but Pickford sweeps in to collect and secure the ball for Sunderland.
67'
Another close chance for Sunderland! Januzaj's right footer along the ground shaves the wrong side of the right post. Another spurned chance for the Black Cats.

Barnes is clattered to the ground once more by O'Shea, who is lucky to escape further punishment. Burnley get the free-kick just to the left of the Sunderland box, but Pickford claims easily.
60'
Burnley are looking for their first win in six today - with their current run their worst of the season. Sunderland aren't making it easy for them anymore though as they force the Clarets back once more with Larsson.
58'
D. Gibson gets yellow.
Gibson gets a booking after catching Barnes with his studs - and the Burnley man looks to be in some discomfort.
55'
Hendrick has a rare second-half shot for Burnley - but again, it curves to the right. Dyche looks disgruntled by the effort; Moyes remains oddly impassive. Just what did he say at half-time?
53'
From the throw, Ward feeds Gray, but Sunderland's defence firms up and pushes the Clarets back into their own half. This is a team with the mark of a Everton-era Moyes - a shocking contrast to the first half.
52'
The rain is coming down heavily on Wearside now, but Burnley have been sparked into life by Sunderland's sudden burst of energy. Boyd wins a throw-in off Oviedo now for the visitors.
50'
In five minutes of the second half, the Black Cats already have more about them than they did in the first forty-five. Defoe crosses behind him to Januzaj, whose shot is forced away by Heaton. Larsson makes a follow-up shot that sails over - but Sunderland have a fire, all of a sudden.
49'
Sunderland have now played more than six hours without a goal, but they suddenly have a chance. Borini skirts down the left between Lawton and Keane, but his finish is straight to Heaton.
47'
Hendrick clips Defoe and sends the Sunderland man sprawling. From the resulting free-kick, the ball falls to Gibson some ten yards away from the edge of the box - but it takes a deflection and goes out for a goal-kick.
46'
And we're back underway, with Burnley looking to turn that first half performance into goals. No changes for either side at the break, as Gray gets the ball rolling.
45' +1
Barton puts a great cross onto Gray, but Gibson sweeps in to reclaim the ball for Sunderland. A minute left in the first half.
45'
Gibson flicks onto Januzaj, who hoists it high for Rodwell, only for Heaton to be waiting to collect. Two minutes of added time.
44'
Gibson beats away Keane's header for a Burnley throw-in, which O'Shea also tidies up. Sunderland have been shapeless often but the Clarets haven't really threatened either.
43'
Borini in open space on the left of the Burnley box opts to shoot himself, and it takes a dangerous nick off Mee in the process. It bobbles somewhat, but Heaton is able to clean up.
42'
HOW ON EARTH DID THEY MISS THAT! Arfield cuts it across to Barnes, straight in front of Pickford, but instead, he clips it off the outside of his right foot and misses the post by a mile. What a chance.
40'
Sean Dyche will be frustrated that his team haven't been able to take the lead so far this afternoon. They've been the more clinical of the two sides today - but so far, the spoils are even.

29'
A Sunderland free-kick from Larsson finds Rodwell in the box but he is unable to get much power beind his header to trouble Heaton.
28'
Burnley are unhappy that the referee didn't stop the game as Ben Mee is sprawled on the ground from an accidental elbow to the nose from Januzaj.
26'
Ward plays it down the left flank to Gray but the Burnley forward can't make anything of it. A moment later, Boyd has a similar chance on the right side - but he too is unable to deliver. Sunderland look fragile still.
23'
J. Barton gets yellow.
Barton tactically fouls Januzaj and recieves a booking for his trouble - but it stunts Sunderland's first counter-attack for a while and kills momentum.

This time it's Mee who earns Burnley another corner kick, and Arfield's curl eventually finds its way to Boyd. He rockets it into Gibson and Burnley call for a penalty due to handball - but one is not forthcoming.

19'
Burnley get a corner on the right, and Arfield's loping kick finds Barnes, only for the forward to be unable to guide it low enough towards the goal.
17'
Arfield takes the kick, and is unable to whip it around enough to the left to find the top corner, leaving Pickford to simply watch it fly past the net. Sunderland breathe easy again.
16'
Gibson is penalised for bringing down Boyd in a high challenge. The Sunderland man appeared to get the ball, but the referee signals a free kick to Burnley on the edge of the opposition's box.
14'
We're approach 330 minutes of game time since Sunderland last registered a goal. With the way Burnley have been pressing early on, they're going to have to break that drought sooner rather than later.
12'
Defoe attempts to force an error from Lowton but the Burnley man gets the ball away to Gray, who can't capitalise on open space. Sunderland look relatively loose in formation, compared to the methodical Clarets.
10'
Mee and O'Shea exchange headers in midfield, before it falls to Ward. He hoists it high downfield for Gray, who tucks it on to Boyd. He nearly gets a shot away, just inside the box, but Denayer is quick to block it.
8'
Larsson puts a shot in from the left of the Burnley box that deflects back to Rodwell. The Sunderland man is unable to make anything serious of his shot however and Tom Heaton is left untroubled.
7'
Jack Rodwell plays it right across to Jones, who flicks it back across to the midfield. He is displaced by Ashley Barnes though - and only the advancing Jordon Pickford in goal is able to stop his powerful shot on the left flank
5'
A cross from Jermain Defoe is hacked clear and Burnley break, but Barnes’ pass to Boyd is cut out as the winger attempted to get beyond the last man.
4'

2'
Big afternoon for both teams here and the Clarets are enjoying plenty of the ball in the opening few minutes.

We're under way!!!
Good afternoon and welcome as rock-bottom Sunderland face off against Burnley for the fourth – yes, fourth – time this season. Barely two months have passed since David Moyes and his boys were dumped out of the FA Cup third round in a replay game at Turf Moor; and since then, the Black Cats have only taken a possible four of eighteen points. Can freshly-recalled England striker Jermain Defoe inspire them to a much-needed victory against a team seeking their first away win of the season? Or can Sean Dyche’s men pick up the three points that may all but guarantee survival for the Clarets?
Despite being rooted to the foot of the table, Sunderland haven’t won the least amount of games in the Premier League so far this season. That unfortunate honour lies with Middlesbrough, who parted ways with their manager Aitor Karanka this week. It's still not something to boast about though.
Moyes, who lies six points from safety with eleven games left, knows that his own time could be running out at Wearside – though with mere weeks of the campaign left, he remains likely to see out the rest of the season at the Stadium of Light.
They were unlucky to walk away empty-handed last week against Liverpool, and with today their fourth away game on the bounce, they’ll be looking to break their dry spell away from Turf Moor for the first time since beating Charlton on the final day of the Championship last May.
This is the first time in almost forty years that the sides have met more than three teams over the course of a season. They clashed four times in the 1978/79 season too - back in the old second division.
Two changes for the Black Cats then, with Jack Rodwell in for Didier N’Dong in that central midfield role, whilst at the back, Lamine Kone drops out for Jason Denayer. As for Burnley, their starting lineup is unchanged from the team who visited Anfield last week – but Steven Defour has overcome his hamstring injury to return to the bench for the Clarets.
Burnley have surprised most with their resilience and determination this season, doggedly avoiding the relegation battle beneath them for the most part. They’ve not registered a win however since victory against champions Leicester at the end of January; since then, they’ve crashed out of the FA Cup to non-league Lincoln City though they did manage a draw against leaders Chelsea.
The teams are in the tunnel, getting ready to head out onto the pitch. Will Sunderland spill claret in victory today? Or will Burnley tame the Black Cats for three points? Only minutes away now.
And there goes the half-time whistle. Ashley Barnes had the best chance of the half, when he was unable to get a proper shot away directly in front of goal - but on the whole, Burnley haven't been able to convert their general advantage into a lead. Sunderland look uninspired - but they still hold the visitors at the Stadium of Light. 0-0 at half time on Wearside.
Full-time at the Stadium of Light and it ends with a share of the spoils. Burnley pick up their third point on the road this season - but Sunderland and David Moyes find the vice tightening after missing several golden chances in a sparky second half. Final score, Sunderland 0-0 Burnley.
So, Burnley are still seeking their first away win in ten months - but the pressure on Sean Dyche's side is far less than that of the Black Cats. Sunderland will see today as a missed opportunity - and perhaps the beginning of the end of their tenure in the Premier League. Does David Moyes have an ace up the sleeve? Thank you for your company and have a good evening!
