Swansea continue to bang on the door but Leicester have barred it shut, with Carroll smashing an effort over the bar. That should be it for Leicester.
90' +2
Swansea, remarkably, have had 18 attempts on goal this afternoon but Schmeichel hasn't been tested at all, excluding the goal.
90' +1
Four added minutes for Swansea to snatch a point, which would be undeserved.
Fuchs holds the ball in the corner to waste time, with Swansea then turning the ball towards Ndidi. The Leicester man strikes wide of the goal but valuable seconds have been wasted for the hosts.
90'
Paul Clement will be really frustrated to see his side largely restricted to efforts from distance, with the latest chance seeing Dyer's effort having all the sting taken out of it by a defensive block, providing Schmeichel with another easy piece of work to do.
88'
Was that the chance? Swansea come the closest they have to an equaliser as Routledge receives the ball just inside the box, striking a low effort into the side netting.
87'
D. Gray enters the game and replaces R. Mahrez.
Mahrez's game is over, he's replaced by Demarai Gray. The Algerian may not have been on the scoresheet this time against Swansea but he's played an integral part in both of Leicester's goals.
86'
Schmeichel is finally forced into action, although it's another comfortable save. Ayew tries a pop from distance and the Danish stopper isn't challenged at all by the effort.
85'
Vicente Iborra deflects a Ayew chance behind for a corner and Swansea again have a corner, though Leicester stand firm.
84'
Ayew throws himself to ground, the referee waves away the appeals, and Swansea have to start again from the back. Leicester have put men behind the ball and are more than happy to launch the ball forward aimlessly when they do take possession.
83'
Vardy chips an effort onto the roof of the net but he's offside. Leicester will take it though, the minutes are ticking down and Swansea don't look like they'll be able to find an equaliser.
Minute
Description
82'
Leicester are continuing to be a threat when they go forward but Vardy is unable to find Mahrez with his cross.
81'
Final ten for Swansea, who continue to assault the Leicester goal. They're not really creating any clear cut opportunities though, winning another corner but again failing to threaten Schmeichel.
79'
A decent set-piece opportunity for Swansea after Wes Morgan's foul on Ayew. However, Carroll strikes straight at the wall. Swansea really have been dreadful from dead ball situations today.
78'
W. Routledge enters the game and replaces Renato Sanches.
Final change from Swansea, Renato Sanches again fails to complete ninety minutes as he's replaced by Wayne Routledge.
76'
What a waste! Vardy has been a passenger in this second half but he had a golden opportunity to seal the win there. He's fed through superbly by Mahrez but the England striker cannot beat Fabianski one-on-one, with Mahrez then trying his luck from outside the box with a low effort that's again dealt with by the Swansea stopper.
74'
Swansea almost the masters of their own downfall there, as they sloppily concede possession to King. However, the substitute cannot find a team-mate in the middle with his cut back to the edge of the area.
73'
Leicester may feel they need another goal to ensure victory here but they don't look like they'll get one, as they've been on the back foot since Mawson pulled one back for the hosts.
71'
King's first involvement in the match is to steal possession in midfield to quell a Swansea attack, then winning a free-kick inside the opposing half after a foul from Olsson.
69'
Swansea haven't scored yet this season between now and the final whistle so they need an improvement if they're to snatch a point. They won't get anything if they continue to miss the target, as Ki Sung-Yeung blasts over the bar.
68'
A. King enters the game and replaces S. Okazaki.
First change of the game from Leicester and it's Okazaki who is sacrificed. He's done his job, scoring the second goal, and Andy King is brought on as Appleton's side look to see out the match.
67'
Swansea come out unharmed from a prolonged period of pressure from Leicester and look to find an equaliser at the other end. The Swans are still finding most of their chances coming from distance though, with Naughton the latest player to fire a wayward effort over the bar.
64'
The corner came to nothing but found it's way out wide to Mahrez, who showed superb skill to beat his man and drive into the area. The Swansea defence does recover but at the expense of another corner, which this time is headed away.
63'
Free-kick for Leicester in a dangerous position out wide, after Martin Olsson shoves Mahrez to ground, and the Algerian's delivery finds Harry Maguire at the far post and he wins the Foxes a corner.
62'
Swansea have dominated possession since the break, with a whopping 70%, so conceding that second goal will be a real kick in the teeth.
60'
Thankfully for Swansea, it looks like the Chelsea loanee will be able to continue. He's scored four of Swansea's six goals this season so his importance to his side is obvious.
59'
Huge increase of intensity for Swansea now, as the hosts have momentum. Abraham is in pain after heading over the bar and is receiving treatment.
56'
N. Dyer enters the game and replaces L. Narsingh.
A. Mawson has scored a goal for Swansea City! Assist by J. Ayew.
GOAL! Swansea are back in it! Renato Sanches finally causes a problem with a corner but the chance is created by Ayew, who deftly flicks the ball on at the near post. Alfie Mawson still had a lot to do though and it's superb play from the defending, turning towards goal and then striking into the bottom corner. Game on!
Amidst the celebrations, Swansea make their second change of the game. Nathan Dyer is on, replacing Luciano Narsingh.
Ayew didn't have the best of first halves but he's shown a considerable improvement here.
54'
Pressure on Swansea then, who have to find a response. It doesn't help that the majority of their opportunities are either coming in the air or from distance, especially as Narsingh has just sent an effort into orbit.
52'
Leicester are devastating on the break and Swansea cannot track the runners. Okazaki is inches away from getting onto the ball inside the area and it would have surely been his second goal of the game if he managed to take possession.
49'
S. Okazaki has scored a goal for Leicester City! Assist by R. Mahrez.
GOAL! How easy was that!? Leicester hit on the counter-attack and Okazaki doubles the Foxes' lead. Albrighton clipped a pass over the top to Mahrez, who looked miles offside, and he cuts the ball across for an easy tap-in.
It's a very, very tight call from the official but Mahrez looked just about onside. Swansea were asleep and didn't track the Algerian, who's now played a direct part in both goals for Leicester this afternoon.
48'
Free-kick for Swansea, as Ayew shows direct intent down the right and is felled by Albrighton. It's a decent position for a delivery but Carroll cannot beat the first man.
47'
Slick pass through the Swansea defence from Ndidi to Vardy but the offside flag is raised.
46'
Ki Sung-Yueng enters the game and replaces L. Britton.
Change at the interval from the hosts, with Ki Sung-Yeung entering the play to replace captain Leon Britton in the middle of the park. Hopefully the South Korean can provide more creativity.
45' +1
Swansea have won a number of corners this half but have failed to create anything of note from them, with Sanches' latest delivery being easily collecte by Schmeichel.
45'
Swansea get us underway for the second half and they need a goal, although neither side would probably be happy with a point from this one so Paul Clement will still be hoping to turn the tide of the game into his side's favour.
44'
Well, right on cue, Ayew has just appeared. Renato Sanches does superbly in midield to turn his man and pass the ball off to the Ghanian, who wins a corner. It's a wasted set-piece though as Sanches sends it all the way across to the other flank, where it eventually goes behind for a Swansea throw-in.
42'
Could be some tactical changes from Swansea in the second half, as they've looked threatening when going forward but haven't done it enough. Abraham has looked isolated, which is a huge concern, and Jordan Ayew has been invisible.
39'
Leicester have taken their foot off the gas since taking the lead, which is a dangerous tactic considering how leaky they've been at the back this season, and they may need to step up the gears again as Swansea look to be growing in confidence.
37'
Kyle Naughton has just attempted an effort from range, when he had better opportunities available to him, but it's deflected behind for a corner. Carroll's delivery is again decent, with Narsingh picking it up at the far post, but his delivery is deflected towards goal by Danny Simpson and clutched onto by Schmeichel at his near post.
32'
It's amazing what a managerial change can do. Michael Appleton's side are looking like the Leicester of old here, frustrating Swansea by putting men behind the ball when they don't have possession and then hitting on the counter-attack as soon as they have an opportunity.
29'
Swansea have been on the back foot ever since the referee first blew his whistle, so it's no surprise to see them losing here. Conceding via an own goal will only rub salt into their wounds though, especially as replays appear to show the ball had gone beyond for a goal-kick before Mahrez's delivery.
24'
F. Fernández is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
GOAL! It's been coming and Riyad Mahrez, who's scored more goals against Swansea than any other side, won't be able to claim this one. His delivery into the box is headed into the back of net by Fernandez and it's fantastic finish from the defender. Unfortunately for the Swans, it's at the wrong end.
21'
Swansea showing their attacking intent again though as Narsingh wins a corner. It's whipped into the middle by Tom Carroll, where Wes Morgan's thigh diverts it into the hands of Schmeichel.
17'
Another foul by Leicester, this time in a decent attacking area, but Renato Sanches' delivery is palmed away by Kasper Schmeichel and the Foxes immediately hit on the counter-attack. Vardy did fantastically to retain possession and work his way into a shooting position but Fabianski is again on hand to palm the ball behind for a corner, which comes to nothing.
15'
C. Fuchs gets yellow.
Early yellow card and it's deserved, Christian Fuchs was all over Narsingh there - although the Swansea man did have a bit of the Austrian defender's shirt too.
14'
Beautiful play by Swansea, who can't quite find the ball into the area, but their build-up was superb down the left-hand side there. Luciano Narsingh was heavily involved and is a player Paul Clement will want to see more from as the season progresses.
13'
Another big save from Fabianski! Danny Simpson's delivery is diverted towards goal by a mixture of Wilfried Ndidi's shoulder and the back of Federico Fernandez, forcing Fabianski to get down low and palm the ball away. Fernandez then hooks the ball behind for a corner before Okazaki can capitalise on the loose ball. Warning signs ringing for the hosts!
12'
Leicester haven't struggled in front of goal this season, scoring ten goals in eight games, but wasting chances like that won't help them in their quest to climb the Premier League table. Vardy, incidentally, has just smashed a shot straight into the defender and another opening passes them by. They're all over Swansea here.
10'
HUGE CHANCE! Leicester create another great opportunity and this time Okzaki's delivery is decent, finding Albrighton inside the box but he strikes a high effort towards goal and sees his attempt tipped over the bar by Fabianski. Had he struck that low and hard, the Foxes would probably find themselves defending an early lead.
9'
Okazaki has also been heavily involved in the opening ten minutes but he too can't find the right delivery, with his cross towards Jamie Vardy being too high for the England international to do anything with.
8'
Albrighton has looked bright but his ball into the area there is poor, wasting a decent opportunity for the Foxes and conceding possession.
7'
Crunching tackle from Leon Britton on Okazaki, who has come into the side to replace Kelechi Iheanacho today, and Swansea are showing they don't want to give the striker room to run into.
5'
Leicester have seen the majority of the ball early on but Swansea are putting them under a lot of pressure, trying to not allow the visitors to have too much time on possesion and then moving it around nicely when they find themselves in control of the play.
2'
Both sides have shown attacking intent in the early stages and Lukasz Fabianski has already been called into action, with Mark Albrighton's inviting cross finding the head of Shinji Okazaki. The Polish stopper was equal to the effort though, palming the ball away with relative comfort.
1'
We're underway at the Liberty Stadium! Leicester get us underway and kick from right to left, with the Foxes looking to secure a victory that would see them climb out of the relegation zone.
Good afternoon and welcome to our LIVE text commentary of Swansea City v Leicester City, a game where both sides are desperate for three points as they look to rise up the Premier League standings and push themselves away from the threat of relegation.
Leicester, meanwhile, are winless since a victory over Brighton in the second week of the season. Craig Shakespeare was axed from his post after last week's 1-1 draw with West Brom, just four months after being handed the job on a permanent basis, and the former Premier League champions face a stern test to turn their season around.
Swansea boss Paul Clement makes one change to the side that beat Huddersfield last week and it's a forced one, with Leroy Fer suspended. His position in midfield this afternoon is taken by Renato Sanches, with the Bayern Munich loanee still trying to find his feet in the Premier League.
Interim Leicester boss Michael Appleton also makes one change to the side from last week, with Shinji Okazaki slotting in behind Jamie Vardy and replacing Kelechi Iheanacho in the side. The back four and midfield therefore remain the same and the Foxes will need to significantly improve their performances.
Swansea's key-man this afternoon will certainly be Chelsea loanee Abraham, who's scored a whopping 80% of Swansea's Premier League goals this season. For Leicester, they'll be hoping to see Riyad Mahrez start to show the sort of form he did in their title winning campaign- which included a hat-trick in this fixture in December 2015.
If Swansea are to win today, they'll have to find some consistency in front of goal. The Welsh side have scored just five this season, two of which came in last week's win over Huddersfield, a total that only Bournemouth and Crystal Palace have a worse record then. Leicester have the complete opposite problem, as their tally of ten goals is the highest in the bottom-half of the Premier League table. They've conceded 13 though, so it's easy to see where their main issue lies.
The hosts enter the game on the back of a 2-0 victory over Huddersfield Town last week, where Tammy Abraham netted both goals, but come into the match just two points ahead of today's opponents and the relegation spots. As the home side, they'll fancy their chances of winning- particularly as they've won two of their three meetings with Leicester at the Liberty Stadium.
Swansea won this fixture 2-0 last season, a game that ended up being Claudio Ranieri's last game in charge of the Foxes, so it's rather coincidental that Leicester have axed Shakespeare ahead of this game. According to the bookies, Manuel Pellegrini is the favourite for the vacancy but the board have made it clear they won't rush into a decision.
Half-time at the Liberty Stadium and Leicester City deserve their lead. Marc Albrighton, Wilfried Ndidi and Jamie Vardy all had efforts saved from Lukasz Fabianski, before Federico Fernandez headed into the back of his own net after superb work from Riyad Mahrez out wide. As it stands, the Foxes are out of the bottom three.
Swansea have looked threatening when they get forward, with Luciano Narsingh proving to be a thorn in the side of the Leicester defence, but they're yet to truly test Kasper Schmeichel. Tammy Abraham has barely had a sniff and Renato Sanches, as he has done since the European Championships last year, has blown hot and cold.
Michael Appleton's Leicester City have shown considerable improvements and are in good value for their lead. They've looked extremely threatening on the counter-attack, where the pace of Vardy and Shinji Okazaki has caused Swansea a wealth of problems, but need to create more clear cut opportunities if they're to extend their lead after the interval.
Full-time, it finishes 2-1 to Leicester City and Michael Appleton starts his tenure with a valuable three points. An own goal from Federico Fernandez and a close range effort from Shinji Okazaki but the Foxes in control but they were made to work for it after Alfie Mawson pulled one back for the hosts.
A crucial three points for Leicester then, who rise out of the relegation zone after picking up only their second win of the season and their first away from home. Riyad Mahrez showed considerable improvements and could be crucial over the coming weeks, as the Foxes look to spark a run of form. Leeds United are up next for Appleton's side in the Carabao Cup, before another important game at the bottom of the Premier League next weekend as Leicester host Everton.
For Swansea, it's another game where they'll feel they could, and probably should, have secured a result but the performance from Paul Clement's side this afternoon was under par. The hosts consistently failed to threaten the Leicester goal and struggled to create clear cut opportunities. It doesn't get any easier for the Swans either, as they host Manchester United in midweek before travelling to face Arsenal next weekend.
