The Frenchman connected with his half-volley, but failed to keep his effort down with it instead flying over the crossbar.

Unai Emery looks concerned on the touchline, with a few of his players becoming frustrated with their start to this match. Credit has to go to Olivier Dall’Oglio, whose gameplan has started perfectly in this clash.
23'
It has been very lacklustre from Paris Saint-Germain so far in this contest, who have created very little in the opening 23 minutes. Fatigue could be an issue as the majority of their players featured for their national sides in the international break, with a few of them travelling back from South America only a few days ago.

A goalkick is sent forward from Baptiste Reynet to Jeannot, who is bundled to the ground by Kimpembe. The resulting set-piece is curled in by Cedric Varrault, but goes straight out of play to the disapointment of the home supporters. Hello and welcome to our LIVE text commentary of the Ligue 1 fixture between Dijon and Paris Saint-Germain at Stade Gaston-Gerard.
Dijon are set with the task of halting the unbeaten away side this afternoon, who themselves will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table to six points after Monaco’s defeat to Lyon last night.
The home side are searching for their first victory since August, and second win of the season, to put some distance between themselves and the relegation zone. Despite struggling for victories and sitting 17th in the table, Dijon have drawn their last two matches which included an impressive point away to Lyon. Manager Olivier Dall’Oglio will be hoping his side make it three league matches unbeaten this afternoon.
Seven victories, one draw and 27 goals scored. PSG will aim to carry on where they left off before the international break by extending their unbeaten run in Ligue 1 this afternoon. Last time out they dispatched Bordeaux, who were previously the only other unbeaten side in the league, by six goals to two, with the aforementioned Cavani, Mbappe and Neymar all on the scoresheet.
There was unwanted press this week for Paris Saint-Germain’s chairman, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who is being investigated by Swiss prosecutors for his connection in the awarding of the World Cup media rights for 2026 and 2030. Al-Khelaifi is CEO of beIN Media Group and a member of the organising committee for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
PSG won both matches between these sides last season, which included a 3-0 home victory and a 3-1 away victory at the Stade Gaston-Gerard.
HEAD TO HEAD: Dijon have only won once in their last five meetings against PSG, with Unai Emery’s side having won all four matches since.
There’s just over 15 minutes to go until kick-off, so let’s reveal how the two teams line-up…
Dijon make three changes from their last match against Strasbourg. Captain Cedric Varrault comes in for the suspended Cedric Yambere, whilst Oussama Hadadi and Kwon Chang-Hoon are also brought in for this afternoon’s clash.
PSG substitutes: Trapp, Georgen, Moura, Lo Celso, Nkunku, Pastore, Bernede.
Unai Emery has made two changes to his starting eleven against Bordeaux by replacing Marco Verratti with Dani Alves, whilst Edinson Cavani has made way for Angel Di Maria.
The teams walk out of the tunnel to a loud reception from home and away fans inside the Stade Gaston-Gerard. The game will get underway shortly.
PSG really need to up the tempo in the second-half to increase their chances of breaking down Dijon's defence. Unai Emery may have to turn to Lucas Moura or Javier Pastore on his bench sooner rather than later to do this, as it was a poor first-half display from the away side. The second-half will get underway shortly.
FULL-TIME - DIJON 1-2 PSG - What an unbelievable end to a fantastic second-half between these two sides. After a first-half to forget, PSG were a much more potent attacking threat in the second-half and took the lead thanks to a goal from Thomas Meunier. They maintained this pressure, as they looked to put the game beyond Dijon, with Marquinhos’ header hitting the woodwork, but failed to find the net thanks to an excellent display from Baptiste Reynet in goal. Then, in the 87th minute, Benjamin Jeannot scored a sensational half-volley from 20-yards out, which flew into the top right-hand corner to send the home supporters into jubilation. However, with the away side throwing multiple bodies forward in search of a winner, Meunier scored his second of the game to snatch all three points from the hosts.
Thank you for joining our Live Text Commentary this afternoon in what was an enthralling tie between Dijon and PSG, as Unai Emery's men extend their lead to six points at the top of the Ligue 1 table. Until next time, goodbye.
HALF-TIME - Dijon 0-0 PSG - It has been a very even contest in the opening 45 minutes this afternoon, with Paris Saint-Germain struggling to find their rhythm. Dijon have defended well and arguably had the best two chances of the match through efforts from Marie and Kwon Chang-Hoon, but Dani Alves' free-kick on the stroke of half-time, which hit the bar, was the closest either side have come to a breakthrough in this match.
