The Cherries earn a throw in midfield and play it around their midfield as they try to find a way through. It falls to Afobe, who looses it in the box - and then a counter to Vardy is hacked out by Ake for the full-time whistle!
90' +4
Mahrez takes it quickly but Fraser gets it out of danger. We're heading past the allotted time as the referee remonstrates with a pair of Bournemouth players.
90' +3
Fuchs earns a throw on the left and gives it to Gray, who booms it out to Maraz, who turns it in to Iheanacho only for Begovic to get fingertips. Corner for Leicester.
90' +2
Simpson ushers a loose ball out after failing to control - Bournemouth get a corner and try to turn it loose only for Fraser to scuff it wide and short.
90'
Fraser makes an instant impact - with a high lob into the box that requires Schmeichel to punch it into next week. Four minutes of added time.
88'
R. Fraser enters the game and replaces J. Stanislas.
... but the Cherries clear through Surman. Meanwhile, Fraser comes on for Stanislas in the final change for the hosts.
87'
A throw in a great position now for Leicester though - in line with the Bournemouth box. Fuchs to take...
86'
Close for Surman! The Cherries man turns on a dime twenty yards out and whips a fast one in, forcing Schmeichel to drop to his knees to halt.
85'
A delightful through-ball down the right goes looking for Iheanacho but Ake reads it well and comes up with possession.
82'

And another change for the hosts as Defoe is replaced by Afobe.
Minute
Description
81'
Stanislas tries to whip a lob in but it takes a deflection off his own man and Morgan clears. Defoe then gets a beauty of a through ball too - but Schmeichel is just too quick to it.
78'
Wow! Gray gets a wundershot off himself, from twenty-five yards out that forces Begovic to leap too. Corner to Leicester - but Morgan can't control it and Bournemouth break away.
77'
The Cherries earn a second as Mahrez puts it out but they can't make anything of that and Gray counters down the left.
76'
What a shot from Stanislas! He creeps in on the left to the box, dummies one and launches a rocket for the near top corner, forcing Schmeichel to leap to deny him. Corner Bournemouth.
75'
R. Mahrez enters the game and replaces M. Albrighton.
Indeed, it's Albrighton who makes way for Mahrez.
74'
...which comes to nothing as Albrighton gets there first to head away. Change incoming for Leicester - it looks like Mahrez is about to arrive.
73'
King breaks loose down the left but his effort takes a deflection within the box. Corner to Bournemouth...
71'
Vardy gets pinged for offside again in what would have been a great chance for the Foxes.
70'
Eddie Howe puts his face in his hands in frustration as a Defoe deflection sails over the goal.
69'
K. Ịheanachọ enters the game and replaces S. Okazaki.
J. Ibe enters the game and replaces M. Pugh.
...and a second for the visitors as Iheanacho comes on for Okazaki.
68'
A change for the hosts now as Pugh makes way for Ibe...
66'
Gray has a chance, running onto his own delivery just in front of the centre of the eighteen-yard-box - but his effort ends up somewhere over the roof of the stand. Poor finishing, when chances are limited for Leicester.
65'
Albrighton slips as he looks to cross to Okazaki on the right and Daniels sweeps in to take the ball away.
62'
Neither side really clicking with their finishing today - Schmeichel and Begovic have seen action but nothing to seriously stress either as Vardy roams offside on the right following a delivery from Albrighton.
60'
OKAZAKI! The Leicester man blows the Foxes' best chance of the afternoon, pushing a shot he thunders onto in the box wide to the right with only Begovic to beat.
59'
Pugh creates a lovely one-two and back around the box with Defoe but he goes too deep on the final play and his cross can't quite make it.
58'
Smith and Stanislas combine nicely on the right as they try to find Defoe in the box, but Gray reads the cross and counters after pinching the ball.
56'
Stanislas goes close! His shot on the back of some great off-the-cuff interplay around the box for Bournemouth forces Schmeichel to dive to his right to stop the low, powerful strike.
55'
Down the other end, Pugh clips finely back into the box on the left, seeking Defoe - but he's unable to get round to it in time.
54'
Gray sweeps a cross from the left in looking for Vardy but Ake gets there first and heads to safety.
52'
Nerves from both so far in this second half. Bournemouth looking the better of the two so far but this game is more finely balanced than it's been since the off.
50'
King chances a weak effort from twenty yards out which bobbles lazily to Schmeichel.
49'
Bournemouth see their corner drift straight to Iborra again but his attempt to clear at first only finds Lewis Cook, who breaks down the right again. Leicester come up with the ball again via Gray and then get a free-kick too.
48'
Surman picks the pocket of Fuchs to breeze down the left but Iborra manages to force the ball out in a messy challenge. Corner for the Cherries.
46'
Iborra enters the game and replaces A. King.
We're back underway in the second half, with a change for the visitors - Andy King is replaced by Vicente Iborra.
45'
Down the other end, Bournemouth get a corner, but two great pieces of defending from Ndidi deny King and Defoe. One added minute on the way.
44'
Gray pushes a lovely long cross into the box but Vardy can't quite get to it and Begovic clears quickly.
42'
Close for Pugh! Perhaps the best chance of the half for Bournemouth as the midfielder pushes it over the crossbar after a deflection lands at his feet. He appeals for a handball off Simpson but none is forthcoming.
41'
An exchange in midfield between both sides ultimately comes up for the Cherries and Francis pushes it to the right to begin an attack.
39'
KIng races onto a lovely through-ball down the left from Daniels but he is closed out as he comes into the box and Schmeichel gets gloves to his small cross.
37'
Simpson haggles with a cheeky fan for the ball as Leicester earn a throw in their own half. They can't make anything of it though and Pugh comes up with the goods once more.
35'
Defoe tries a cheeky lob from twenty yards out on the left but Schmeichel doubles back with little problem.
33'
An exchange of the ball around midfield between both sides in a fairly frantic passage of play. Mahrez is warming up on the side, it would seem - will Leicester make an early change at half-time?
31'
Bournemouth earn a free-kick on that right edge of the box again and once more Stanislas whips it in. Ake challenges for it but he can't quite get contact and then goes down, aiming to milk a penalty. Leicester survive.
29'
Leicester are starting to find their footing in this game - even if they are unable to convert their increased share of the ball into attempts on goal.
27'
Pugh plays a beauty to Daniels flat on the left but his closing cross loops over everyone, including Defoe.
25'
Okazaki goes close on the left side of the box for Leicester but goes down clumsily. No free-kick is forthcoming and Bournemouth play themselves out of danger.
23'
Pugh breaks on a counter-attack down the left for the Cherries, and puts a lovely cross into the box in for King, only for the latter to scuff his shot wide to the left.
22'
Against the run of play, City get a corner on their left flank. Albrighton whips it in and Begovic finally gets some action, punching the ball into next week and out of danger.
20'
M. Pugh gets yellow.
Maguire catches Defoe in a clumsy challenge and Bournemouth get a free-kick inside the centre circle which they play quickly. Pugh then takes down Albrighton on the opposite side of the field and gets booked for his troubles.
18'
Simpson tries to play the ball out of his own half but only finds Pugh who races back at him, only to concede a throw.
16'
Leicester have a rare attack but it fizzles out in midfield and Ake is content to play it around the back four for the Cherries.
14'
A dangerous free-kick on the right edge of the box for Bournemouth now. Stanislas takes and finds Defoe, but he steers his header away from goal and back towards Daniels, whose follow-up lob goes straight to the keeper.
12'
There's not been any true testers yet for Schmeichel but he's looking uncomfortable so far. Bournemouth are peppering the Foxes' defence from all over the field.
10'
Leicester finally get some ball in the opposition half, after Vardy is tripped just within the circle. King's cross into the box is a weak effort though and doesn't really test the defence.
8'
Now Stanislas has a chance, from the right flank of the box, but he hefts it wide to the left, with too much power and curve on the ball.
6'
Defoe has a chance again after a lovely cross in from Surman, but he can't quite pivot the right way to turn it around with force, allowing Schmeichel to calmy collect.
5'
Pugh tries a rocket shot himself on the left flank of the box but he sprays it well wide. All one way traffic so far for the home side.
3'
So close for Bournemouth Defoe gets a nice cross into the box and his shot clips off the bar. Pugh tries to curl the follow up in but it takes a deflection off Simpson, and the former appeals for a handball that is not given.
1'
Defoe pats back into his own half for Bournemouth and we are underway at the Vitality Stadium!
A great long delivery started by Daniels on the left flank in his own half whips out to Defoe on the right - but the striker can only get a foot to it with little control.
Good afternoon and welcome, as September wanes, to what is a pivotal clash at the foot of the table in the Premier League between AFC Bournemouth and 2015/26 Champions Leicester City. Both sides have endured torrid league starts to their campaigns, with three and four points respectively from a possible eighteen each; and a win for either Eddie Howe or Craig Shakespeare today will not only go a long way to helping them out of their current squeeze but may lend some much-needed job security. Who will prevail in this basement clash? Kick-off is just around the corner.
Bournemouth were one of the surprise packages of last season, improving from sixteenth in their debut top flight year to climb inside the top half of the table. However, 2017 has brought less ripened fruits; aside from progression to the fourth round of the EFL Cup, they’ve only claimed the one win this year, coming from behind to beat Brighton and Hove Albion just over a fortnight ago. Howe will be looking for a response from his team; particularly after a disappointing late defeat to Everton last week.
The spectre of Leicester’s staggering achievements in 2015/2016 lingered over them last season, and though Shakespeare was able to help shake off those shackles, he has been unable to cement a turnaround so far this season. Aside from a thumping of Liverpool in the EFL cup, the Foxes’ only other scalp has been taken against Brighton as well – though they played out an epic 4-3 thriller against Arsenal on the opening Friday of the year. With the international break looming again, the men from the Midlands will be hoping to snare three points and lift them away from immediate danger.
Teams now in...
AFC BOURNEMOUTH (4-4-1-1): Begovic, Smith, Francis, Ake, Daniels, Stanislas, L Cook, Surman, Pugh, King, Defoe
Subs: Boruc, Gosling, Fraser, Ibe, Mousset, Afobe, S Cook
The referee blows and that's all for the first forty-five. For a long time, it was all going the way of Bournemouth, but Leicester have done well to keep themselves in the hunt. Half-time on the south coast, it's Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester.
Much like last week at Everton, Eddie Howe will have a lot to think about with that game. His side have claimed what could be a vital point - but the Cherries will rue their lion's share of missed oppertunities, with seventeen attempts to Leicester's eight. With a game often dominated by the hosts, Craig Shakespeare will be happt to get a point - but the Foxes remain in trouble as we head to the international break. Full-time at the Vitality Stadium, it's Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester City.
So what comes next? It'll be a fortnight on the road for the Cherries, with trips to Tottenham and Stoke in what could be crucial encounters. As for the Foxes, they host West Brom and travel to Swansea - before hosting high-flying Championship side Leeds United in the EFL Cup. Until then, thank you very much and have a good weekend!
